Poem: The Autopsy
Nov 10, 2023
The Lovers card attends the meeting,
My higher power, lilac draped.
There are no secrets here
Before the mountain,
Above the Earth,
Below the fiery crown.
Serpent slithers as it may.
Matrimony, fig blotched,
Engraven upon the flesh,
Coded in the D.N.A.
But conscious of it, the animated sun
Its eye upon us,
We shelter from the infinite point,
So difficulty bears fruit,
Coolness in the heat.
Adam inches enchain him higher.
I, Eve, fecundity sated,
Feel fine rooted to the ground.
It is a clear, fine, blue day,
The day Adam and Eve received
Their autopsy,
Light and loving in the clouds
